While Borderlands 2 is definitely an FPS, judging it by those standards misses its appeal. Borderlands developers Gearbox treated the exploit like an MMO developer would and nerfed it, rather than just letting it slide like devs might in a more typical first-person shooter that wasn't meant to be played for years.
